If you are a buy back after 1st round you will not earn points. However you can race for the purse.

**New IHRA Ruling for 2009:**

IHRA Chassis Certifications are required. NHRA Certifications will no longer be honored. We have IHRA 90 day extension form that will need to be filled out.

First, I want to congratulate Richard Cook on his win over John Stelly in the Bracket Finals Run Off. Richard will be going to Redline Raceway on November 15th for the Grand Finale against 9 other teams from other tracks in division 4. The races at Redline will determine the division 4 Champion.

OUR BRACKET RACE TRACK POINTS ARE SUMMIT POINTS!

IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE SUMMIT SERIES YOU NEED TO JOIN TO BE IN THE POINTS RACE. IT IS ONLY $30.00 to the I.H.R.A. FOR THE SEASON. Contact Donna in the track office to pay & get the entry form. ANY NEW RACERS INTRESTED IN GETTING INTO OUR TRACK POINTS BRACKET RACE, CAN TRY THE DASH FOR THE CASH BRACKET RACE OR THE WEEKLY BRACKETS TO SEE IF THEY LIKE BRACKET RACING. ANYONE CAN ENTER THIS RACE, HOWEVER NO TRACK POINTS WILL BE AWARDED UNLESS YOU JOIN THE SUMMIT SUPER SERIES.

What is Dash For the CASH (non Summit):

It’s a bracket race format. Everyone gets a few time trials, then line up for the Dash Race. Everyone puts a dial that you think you’re going to run. The stager pairs up the cars in classes (Box and No Box). The winner of the 1st round does not necessarily win the Dash! The driver out of the first round that comes closest to their dial without going over or red lighting moves to the final round. The driver of the 1st round with the best reaction time, without going over or red lighting, moves to the final round. The final round is a strait up bracket race, dial it and go. It’s a fun and good way to enjoy some close finish line racing.

I.H.R.A. SUMMIT SUPER SERIES 2009 Season

We have received from the IHRA the following news: The Track will have a $30 Summit Super Series one time entry fee, for the season, to all track points members in 2009. IHRA will have a special IHRA Membership offer for $40, that each track can offer from March 1st to June 1st. Special membership forms will be given to each track and the racer who wishes to take advantage of the special membership offer will send it to IHRA direct. These memberships expire December 31st of the current year, which will coincide with their SSS $30 entry fee. All racers that wish to be in the Summit Super Series Points Race will need to pay the $30.00 before they race!!!

The Following Times are for our 2009 Season Saturday Bracket Races

The following times are subject to change due to delays, such as wrecks, oil downs, etc. Due to confusion and congestion the following rules have been Implemented.

Times may vary for special races.

Our Saturday Bracket Races starting times :

NEW... There will be 2 guaranteed Time Trials for the Bracket Races. Time trial 1 will be at 1:00pm. Time trial 2 will be at 1:45pm. (see our rules page) We will start with the Dash For the Cash...1st CALL @ 2:15pm. Box in lane 1, No Box in lane 2,...start time @ 2:30pm. 2nd round DC will follow 15 mins. after No Box's last run.

The Bracket Races 1st Round Elimination: 1st call will be @ 3:40pm for Box Class, and 1st call No Box will be @ 3:50, Race starts @ 4:00pm. Box in lanes 1 & 2...No Box lanes 3 & 4. 2nd round, Box winners lane 1, buy backs lane 2. No Box winners lane 3, buy backs lane 4. First call BOX @ 4:30pm, First call No Box @ 4:40 and Race starts @ 5:00pm, and so on... Please be IN the lanes prior to these start times. Check the lights on the rear of the Stands: Green Light - No Box.... Blue Light - BOX. The appropriate lights will be turned on when the announcer makes first call. It is time to come to the staging lanes when these lights are on. Once the field is set the lights will be turned off **DON'T BE LATE** or you'll miss your race & no refunds will be given. Buy backs, only after 1st round $10.00 paid at the TECH building. If YOU break during the races...PLEASE go to tech and have tech call the tower, to inform them you are out of the race.

Second Round: Winners line up in lane 1, Buy-Backs in lane 2

Just so all the racers will know...we have stripes on the asphalt showing the parking area in the pits. Each car will be allowed 20 ft., the vehicle towing the trailer & only one crew vehicle. If there are any questions Please call us at the track at 409-276-1910.

The asphalt area next to Tech is reserved for motor coaches & those with enclosed trailers ONLY.
